Series

Datejust 41 two-tone

The Datejust is the calendar line. A date sits at three o’clock under a magnifying lens, and the series is defined by combinations of dial, bezel and bracelet finishes. In this collection it appears as one 41 mm two-tone configuration with a white Roman numeral dial, a fluted bezel and a five-link bracelet.

Design notes

What defines the Datejust

Repeating patterns: numerals, flutes and centre links

The Datejust is built from repeated shapes. Roman numerals replace baton markers and occupy their own width on the dial; the fluted bezel repeats one ridge around the whole circumference; the five-link bracelet repeats a narrow-broad rhythm across its width, with the gold-tone colour on the centre links only. Seen together, those three repetitions make the design read as more decorative than the sports models in this collection, and the effect changes a great deal with the light available. A flat daylight photograph and an oblique one show the same bezel quite differently, which is why more than one frame of each configuration appears on the watch page.

Where the Datejust sits in this collection

The Datejust adds the one feature the other two designs here leave out: a calendar with a magnifying lens. It also mixes two colour treatments where the Daytona and the Submariner stay in a single tone. Choosing it is therefore less about display complexity than about the combination — which dial, which bezel and which bracelet are being discussed together. The pictured configuration, its reference and its design parameters are listed on the watch page. Availability, price and shipping are confirmed per destination in the WhatsApp conversation, where any other dial or bracelet combination can simply be stated in the message.

These notes describe the design as it appears in the photographs on this site. Movement, water resistance, weight and material composition are not stated here, because those belong to the specific unit being offered and are confirmed in the conversation before anything is paid.
